Practical Help
Since our inception in 1975, KIND has provided year-round Practical Help for struggling children and families. Working in partnership with statutory and voluntary sector organisations we identify families
lacking in basic household resources. This practical help can take many forms: it could be a cot for a new born baby, children’s beds or a fridge, furniture or some much-needed item for the home.
Whether appealing to the good nature of a retailer, or using money from fundraising, we aim to help by getting hold of something that somebody desperately needs. And because there are no forms or bureaucracy, we can do it when the need is greatest, making a real difference in times of hardship.

In order for us to be KIND we need your help.
Every year on average we spend about £25,000 on items giving Practical Help to struggling families. We are only able to do this thanks to the help and support of others. Which is why, every donation or means of support we receive is vitally important to us.
